If we could just get @Dave_in_AZ to stop talking in his thread for a year or two, I'm sure this one could take the lead. It's only behind by about 97,200 posts.

dwells40, Boondock and Socal Xpress Thank this.

    Let's see...

Collar bone(s) - Twice, or was it three times? Hmmm
    Elbow - Once
Wrists(s) - Once, BOTH at same time.

    Yup, definitely been broke.

I married extremely well, held out for a gal to support my trucking habit........try to think of it like a chain, you can stretch real tight. It sure feels good when they take the tension off the binders.

Seriously a wife 3 kids hauling bovine, trust me we been stretched more than once

Please do not take this post as being mean and hateful.
People, you have to have a safety net. You should have at least 3 month's worth of payments in the bank to cover any contingency. Too many people live pay check to pay check.

Is welfare and food stamps not enough safety net?

That's good advice but it doesn't always work. There are some people who, no matter how much money they make, always spend every penny of it. If they made more money they'd still do the same thing.
You can preach at them until you're blue in the face but they'll never change.
