Has anyone here reported their employer/ex employer for DOT/HOS/Emissions violations.

I won't go too much into the details unless someone is curious and needs something to read.
Briefly, I worked for a Chicago 1099 for about 5 months, strongly suspected they were crooked at initial hire meeting but figured I'd get paid as long as I kept working. Which was the case. Now that I have turned in the truck, which I never put a scratch on, never had a ticket or bad inspection, put in two weeks notice and worked three, now that I'm 1000 miles away, she's pocketing the roughly $ 3500 I'm owed.

Their tractors are all 2023 and newer, mine and I suspect most/all ten in fleet don't use DEF. Female Russian/Uki boss edits logs routinely, pretty much every day, even when it serves no purpose, after I sign them. I went along with this because I needed to put away a little more dough before I quit, and also her log editing enabled me to do all my loaded miles between 10pm and 4/5 am, which is a huge plus for me, hate daytime driving.

So, would anything come of it if I reported such things (not even trying to get my money, she obviously needs it more than I do, I'd gladly give her a lead slug in the gut but that won't materially benefit me either) ...would rather make her pay by being screwed with by state and feds. I'll have plenty of time to follow up on it, am going on LONG vacation or retirement and won't be getting back in a truck til 18 months from now if ever. But if I do want to get back in for a while in 2028, I imagine she could screw me as well, by making up lies on 'Hire Right' or (DAC is it ?) about imaginary damage to truck, or abandonment of equipment, failure to give 2 weeks notice, etc, and from what little I know it seems anything an employer says is reported as fact by these snitch agencies. Maybe she could even report that I declined a drug test, who knows. (Have never even been asked to do a drug test , random or otherwise, by any employer, except before hire)

This is the first time this has ever happened to me after 12 years (on and Off), 5 companies, 3 of them 1099's, but was always paid every penny I was owed. And I'm surprised it hasn't happened before to be honest...surprised that drivers aren't routinely robbed on the way out of jobs in this corrupt racket.
