I feel that too but no one ever really says otherwise. Is it a big job to change to say 3.55 from my 3.36. Your picture just makes me roar when I see it on your posts !!!

Going from 11/22.5 to LP 22.5 would be close to the same.

If you run an ACERT at 1500RPM then you must hate your money! You'll be lucky to get 4.6 - 4.8 at 1500. Your 1280 - 1300 is fine. 1325 is the absolute sweet spot normally. Anything above 1400 is fuel mileage suicide.

Apparently not, his fuel mileage sucks.

I thought he said he had a 6NZ but I might be confusing threads.

We ran in 12th at 1400 RPM at 60 mph for 6 months to try it and the exact same mileage plus the day was 45 min. longer so went back to 65 in 13th. Yes I tried. Got special tune from Bullydog last night so have to download and they said they would check back in until we get it. Were very nice, helpul, and seemed knowledgeable. Certainly a difference there in who you talk to and what gets accomplished- like most places I guess.

I still think you need to get any and all leaks fixed before you try more programming. I cracked another bellows last week and my mileage has dropped, can't figure out why this one cracked though, Cat is going to have a look at it when they do the overhead when I get back.

Can or does Cat do those smoke tests to check for leaks ? My shop has done tests for boost and power at certain rpms and says it is strong ?!

You need to find a shop that will do a pressure test from the turbo's to the intake. This is a test where they pull the rubber boot from the turbo and the one from the intake and put plugs in there, the plug on the intake side has a gauge on it, the one on the turbo side has a shutoff valve and a way to supply shop air. Pressurize the system to 30lbs, close the shut off valve and watch the gauge. I have my own plugs for doing this, and if it leaks more than 1psi in 1 minute I go looking for the leak with a spray bottle and water/soap mix.

With an Acert I have found that they are really fussy about two things, leaks in the manifold, turbos flanges, and cac and piping, and fuel pressure. If there are any leaks in the system your fuel mileage will suffer, when I crack a bellows my truck will still pull like nothing is wrong, but the fuel mileage goes to crap. When the spring in my fuel pump got weak and fuel pressure dropped, fuel mileage suffered as well as power.

Another thing that seems to make a difference in regards to fuel mileage with an Acert is, when you have the overhead done, get it in the shop the night before so that it can be completely cool before they do it the next morning. The Cat shop that I use doesn't want to run an overhead unless this can be done, and they will not charge an overnight storage fee for this.
