Starting to haul cars in a few weeks and gonna be a lot off Highway and also in town. What’s yalls recommended gps unit to use. I will have to go down some streets with a 45 foot trailer in New York and places like that but don’t want to be put somewhere I have to back out.

You're going to run into situations where you will have to back in or out of an area, I'm sure, but with a little proper planning they will be minimized. Any GPS accompanied with using Google satellite view and street view to give you a heads up should be sufficient. A standard truck GPS might mess you up because you will most likely be on roads that are truck restricted, but you will have a reason to be there. Just be careful, plan ahead as best you can. Call and ask directions as often as possible, then verify them with satellite and street views.

If you are doing POV's (private owned vehicles). You get as close as you can, and try to meet at a near by shopping center. Also watch out for low tree limbs.

Garmin. The Rands don't work for over 13'6. They say consult your atlas. Plus you shouldn't run into the overheating problems. Do yourself and buy a good one. The good mechanics buy snap on tools. As a trucker get some great equipment to use.
