    Not sure where you are in the country though, because in TX and AR you must pass the air brakes test to get a Class A at all, there is no air brakes endorsement that I've ever seen (although I could obviously be wrong, but I thought all states were the same).

    You can get a class A in any state that way.

    It's a written and driving he'd need a truck as well to get that restriction removed.
