i AM SURE EVERYONE KNOWS jb hunt who doesn't, well I got laid off from cardinal transport doing local runs which was a fantastic job, but now to jb hunt, well I knew the rep going in but after almost a year of not working i was on the verge of losing my house, so I needed to do something and that something was jb hunt, in walpole,ma. delivering appliances MISTAKE TWO just going to work for them was MISTAKE ONE, there was a company policy 2 people on every truck no exception, now that being said,I was hired class a, did the orientation in NJ. then went to walpole,ma to work, you got 1 day of training and you were on your own,I also did an early morning run to a couple of clothing stores in so. portland,me. one morning I came back from ME. and reloaded to take out a load of appliances which were supposed to be commercial stores only no home deliveries.Thats when I found out that I was on my own no help, nothing, and that is when I found out that I was delivering a big ### dryer to a second floor condo,I told dispatch was not going to happen, then the idiot poor excuse for a human being terminal manager decides to put his 2 cents in, and says i either do it or look for a new job, so i told them if i get hurt i will own them, well guess what i have been home for 25 months have had 2 back surgeries one of which was fusion, and I am still healing from that only been 6 months since surgery, now to give you a short explanation of what took place prior, first of all the manager hated me because I spoke my mind and the rest of the drivers were to #### chicken,so that was strike one, and because they could not fire me for anything because I made sure all paperwork was in order no customer complaints they could not fire so, this was done to get me injured so they then could fire me and use my medical leave time for an excuse, becasue the manager hated me he also made sure I was dropped to a class b driver which meant an average of 500 a wk less, when I confronted him why I was dropped in class all I got was you know why, well whatever, called personell called other depts. and nobody seem to have an answer well I already knew why and so didn't the other drivers,so I don't care what they offer don't work for these people I would rather have worked for hitler probably better working conditions and especially DO NOT WORK FOR WALPOLE,MA.

Did you use a dolly or hand truck to move the dryer? Up the stairs or elevator?

Why couldn't you have just called the safety department. Explained the situation and expressed your concerns
Sounds like that would have been your best option. Unless of course you knew all this going in, and was just looking for a way to sue.

    jbatmick Thanks this.

Report it before you excepted the load? Companies being sued for mistakes is one thing, but big companies didn't get to be big by being stupid.
