One big pain in the ###.
    Sitting hours to get loaded
And sitting more hours to get unloaded with
    All the stops.

    Truck owner gets rich.
    Driver gets poor.
    Garbage freight.

I hate running nursery stock and avoid it like the plague. Recommend running your refer on continuous (keep the air moving in refer) and go by temp on BOL. Expect a serious washout after delivery and hope you don't have to tailgate that stuff on multiple stops.

I haul trees on occasion. The place in Illinois that I pull out of wants it on 55 degrees and start/stop. They have a strict no continuous run policy. Pays great and it’s one pick( hr to load) one drop.( crew of 6 guys, 45min) 20mins at the beacon when I’m done and the broker pays the washout.

I forgot one thing. If you are crossing state lines, make sure they give you a Certified Nurseymen certificate or a copy of one. DOT will ask to see it if they pull you around back.

If it’s on racks then it’s easy. If it’s cribbing then it sucks.

    I had a 5 stopper 3 years ago.
Picked trees up in Troutdale area.
Made 5 stops ending in Wisconsin.
Each consignee is responsible for the dirt and dunnage on their order. And must take trash from their order out of trailer.
    It was a good ride.
    I ran continuous at 45° I think.

    NavigatorWife and bzinger Thank this.
