    Found out something very interesting about the chicken problem. According to the chef at the stir fry restaurant at our hotel the chickens were originally all caged up in coops until Hurricane Iniki hit Hawaii in September of 1992. When the storm hit the coops were blown apart and the chickens got loose,mostly on the islands of Kaua’i,Maui and Oahu. They’ve been roaming about ever since!
