    Been a while sense I have run Hazmat loads. If I remember correctly, even with a pre pass and a green light I am required to stop at the first weight station in 4 states. What are the 4 states that I need to go into even if I get a green light on my prepass ???

    AZ, OH, AR. Lookup Drivewize bypass restriction and PrePass Bypass Restriction. I have those 2 webpages saved on my phone’s home screen.

    CA lets HazMat follow electronic bypass signals.

    Also in the last 12 months GA switched from “HazMat enter scales if open” to “HazMat follow roadside weigh in motion electronic sign”. Do what the sign says.

    OH posts signs saying HM enter scales. AZ & AR have no signs anywhere that say HM enter scales if open. I think AZ fine is $600 for bypassing scale with HM. If in doubt go in.

    Looking at Drivewize site HM CANNOT bypass open scales in
    Arkansas
    Arizona
    Connecticut
    Massachusetts
    Maryland

    PrePass only shows HM may not bypass open scales in
    Arizona
    Arkansas
    Ohio

    While I don't recommend this today, years ago, we outlaws just wouldn't placard the wagon. In a group of trailers, especially RR wagons, the cops were sure to check the hazardous one. Had I got in an accident, I probably wouldn't be writing this from my kitchen table, but I never had a problem, and I wasn't the only one taping placards on right outside the rail facility,,,:eek:
