Is it a requirement for my husbands employer to pay for life insurance in Wyoming if he hauls hazmat loads?

Most companies have and pay for an ADD policy for drivers.

Requirement of who/whom? There is no FMCSA regulation requiring life insurance for Hazmat drivers. I doubt any states, except CA, have a requirement either.

If you have it it's good. We carried a half million on each of us until we stopped hazmat. That solves a lot of problems including prepaid burial etc. You don't even need to be around hazmat for possibility of death or loss of limb etc.

I doubt it's a requirement. Hazmat isn't a whole lot different than anything else, except instead of being smooshed when he goes into a ravine at 75 or 80, he'll be char broiled too.

Most places have policies you can buy up to 2 million.

Make sure he gets this all squared away before you sabotage his tires.

Great name from the OP. Nobody will suspect her if somehow her husband goes out in a fireball.

A lot of companies offer some level of life insurance regardless of profession. That said, my employer offers $10K coverage at no cost to me. I can add to the coverage, but then the premium starts coming out of my pre-tax pay. I have life insurance through an outside party which are the lowest premiums I can find...even through my employer.

My wife also has a policy on me through her employer.
