HAZMAT registration in Ohio

    Hello,
    I am a new CDL holder in Ohio, and got my Triple Double and Tanker endorsments.

    I tried to register with TSA - IDEMIA and the system was not letting me to complete the registration because my immigartion status here in USA is - not showing/available in their system.

    I have a valid work authorization card till 2027, valid CDL license (Ohio state) SSN , valid canadian passport, I94 record etc.

    My question is that, is there any agency in Ohio other than TSA which could take my fingerprints for the HAZMAT background check and get the results back to Ohio BMV, so that I can write my knowledge test.

    I've always had my fingerprints taken at IdentoGo. I would assume they have offices there in Ohio where you can schedule an appointment, but check with the BMV to make sure.

    Identigo is the fingerprint contractor on Ohio.

    It's been a few years, but if I remember correctly there's a link on the TSA page to make an appointment with Identigo.

    If you can't schedule an appointment just go to the nearest convenient Identigo location. They all take walk-ins, but appointments have priority.

    They will need his birth certificate, and that's what might mess him up. He says he has authorization to work here in the U.S. If the person at Identigo knows what to do with this, he may be ok. But some of the people I've dealt with there barely could get the fingerprinting done right.

    The birth certificate must have the raised seal... No pictures or copy..
