Probably should have just run over the bunny rabbit,,, looks like another job for Jamie Davis. That guy is getting some nice equipment, partially due to his TV star status, I'm sure. Seems like a good guy to work for, and plenty of work. From what is shown, even though much of that show is scripted, Canadians seem to have the same issues we have.

 

Do the Canadian PBTs not give numbers? I suppose it would remove the subjectivity to it if you pass at 0.07 they can't arrest you anyways because "you were close enough" to the hard line. I guess it would be a problem with different standards like CDLs and underage.

 

0.05 is the limit in BC. Never heard of a breathalyzer saying pass or fail before, that's a new one for me.

 

Not sure how you can script wrecks. It's not like they're purposely crashing trucks in order to film a TV show. Maybe some of the dialogue is scripted but those wrecks are definitely real.

 

Ah, not familiar with Hollywood, eh? My daughter works in the movie biz, and when I asked her, "do they actually crash real helicopters, or computer generated"? She said, they actually crash radio controlled real helicopters! Tom Cruise ( or stunt double) actually jumps out of burning airplanes. Far as scripted, sometimes I see these wrecks on some back road, you know they aren't really running on those roads, and it's always an older White Volvo they are tipping over. Obviously, some of the situations in traffic are real, but don't put too much confidence in Hollywood. They have the money to do those things and I got quite a lesson on how Hollywood works.

 

“They’re not really running on those back roads”. Lol. Never spent much time in BC or western AB I take it? With the exception of about two or three highways every other highway would be considered a back road by the super truckers from the States.

 

Funny thing is I grew up right around where they film that show. Those are BC's highways. I've driven most of them too.

This here is Highway 5 after the Coquihalla ends. This is one of the few highway that runs from the central area of BC over to Alberta and the main route most truck traffic takes to get to Edmonton from the coast. Roughly 470 kilometers from the end of the 4 lane divided highway in Kamloops to where the divided 4 lane highway starts again on the west side of Hinton, AB.



Apart from the occasional 3rd lane for passing it's all single lane each direction.

BC also doesn't maintain those highways worth a #### in winter either.
