Sounds like I "lucked" out. Had a load that was supposed to deliver in Norfolk Nebraska yesterday, but shipper cancelled it. Instead I got one to LA. Then truck crapped out in Utah, sitting until the freightliner dealer opens Monday morning.
Headed into the upper midwest this weekend ?

Those quick moving heavy dumping storms are nothing to mess with, sometimes even a day or two after the fact.
PE_T Thanks this. -
I would rather wait out a storm than have a broken down truck that requires the dealer to fix it.
The last time it happened to me it took over a week.
But I guess the truck would have broke anyway, and maybe you were in a better area when it did.
My last breakdown was in my Cascadia. A coolant line that goes to the DEF tank.
Fairly common problem from what I was told, and the part can be very scarce.
Everything was fine until the 'critically low coolant' warning came on, then the engine shut itself off 30 seconds later as I was going down a steep hill in WV.
Good thing I had enough air to get me pulled over and stopped, because it seems the drivers life is less important than a sensor reading to Freightliner.
Because the same thing would have happened if it was only a bad sensor. The engine itself never got starved for coolant, only the tank. -
After I took my 30 in Rice Lake, WI it was all rain with wind down to Eau Claire. From Eau Claire to Madison, rain and wind, and I m in Janesville now, just wind

Got a driver in Holdredge said there was 3 inches of snow and still snowing I’m in Valentine Nebraska and it just started snowing here but I don’t think it’s going to amount to anything.
Dale thompson, PE_T and bzinger Thank this. -

I’m home now and it’s 52 and foggy (less than 1/4 mile visibility) if winter doesn’t come back I’m going to have to mow the lawn.

I drove in the rain yesterday from Emporia KS to Des Moines IA to Lincoln NE.
Loaded this morning in Lincoln for Fargo ND.
Got caught behind a jacknifed big rig on I 29 for two hours. Almost got stuck myself, trying to get going again.
Got kicked off the highway @ Watertown, SD. I-29 is closed from here to Grand Forks, ND.
The blowing snow is obscuring the road, and turning the road into a skating rink.
So........stay home if ya can. -
bzinger and homeskillet Thank this.
