He guys i will be starting class on Monday in Des Moines. Graduated truck driving school last Thursday. Can you give me any pointers and tips to getting trew the Orientation. Any info would help. Also do i need to take anything they don't mention in there list they send you of stuff to bring? Also do you normally leave straight from there with a trainer or go home then leave out?

Same thing others have said....It's a 2 week interview basically. Don't try to hide anything they will find it. Follow their rules. Don't party at the hotel they are all TMC employees and there is families there. You will share a room and don't be a slob in there. They are good people but they are there to get rid of the ones that can't hack it. Again..it's an interview. I took basically what was on the list. Usually you will go home then get your trainer. I left straight from Des Moines because my trainer happened to be going through there that weekend. He did take me straight to walmart to get what I was missing to be in the truck. Good luck!

i'm finishing up my 2 weeks tommorow and then heading back to the house and wait for my trainer to call. but ya just like he said. its a 2 week interview. they'll even tell you that they ask the house keepers whos rooms look like crap. cause they figure if your room in like that then how are you gonna take care of their truck. you'll have one more chance when you get here to add anything to your applacation before submitting for the final time. when they first took your app they did a state and county check on ya. after your do the final look over and add anything they order a federal background on you and if you didnt tell them everything then you'll be gone that day. the dates don't have to be spot on. just what happened. they arent here to get rid of you. just the dush bags and drugie and liars. we happened to have 1 guy in my class leaveing out sun with a trainer and a couple others that were still waitin on one. but they are gonna be givein a rental car home then the company will pay for another rental to bring them back.

By background you mean criminal I assume I have one misdemeanor like 2 or 3 years ago that's the only thing I have and I put it on my original application. It wasn't a drug or drinking deal. I hope the don't send me home this is the company I wanted to go to since day one.

well if thats all there is and they accepted your app with that then you should be fine. but once you get past the first 2 days you can relax. usualy the first day is people that lied on their app then send home. and then day 2 is folks that failed the drug test.

DOT requires that every company must have their own physical done and drug test. day 1 will be doing paper work and your final submit of your applaction after looking over it. and you'll piss in a cup and do height and weight and vision and they even got the doc there so you can turn your head and cough. mon-thru is all classroom with a couple days of some folks stayin late to do some stright line backing and basic shifting driveing around the yard if the sims arent working. then fri-sun your doing load securement then after that mon-thru is out on the backing range and getting a little wheel time. also day 1 you go and lift the tarp. and it is around 120 lbs. and hop up on the trailer. pretty much all the stuff you see on their video on their site.
