    i heard 12'9" is 13'9" .... i might be mistaken , my buddy told me they measure from center of wheel

    What a great community here, too. Thanks for helping take the bite out of the Big Apple.

    Specifically, to Mark Kling for that map
    Kept me on the straight and narrow. And silverspur's advice on bridge height was golden. 062's tip on keeping it in perspective was very helpful. Thank you all!

    That town has an energy that can't be beat. I hit the George Washington Bridge at rush hour and it was all smiles. Made my way to Syosset, spent the night, then to Brooklyn the next morning. Good times!

    I need to be careful, though. A few times since then I've caught myself thinking "I've driven New York, this'll be a piece of cake." Just because something's not difficult doesn't make it easy. Or... something like that, anyways.
