JimTheHut; I am glad you are doing well with Maverick; but I believe no matter who you went with, with your positive and professional attitude you would have faired well with any company.

Thanks for positive influence and God Bless.

    JimTheHut and MtDewMan Thank this.

I tried calling in sick one time...it didn't work (until I went to the doctor, and was diagnosed with pneumonia)

Then they gave me a week off...which was worse than being sick. I spent that week at the Schneider OC in Carlisle, PA.

Went back to work...pneumonia got worse, back to doctor in Laurinburg, NC...another week off at the Schneider Specialized yard in Laurinburg.

    That sucked...big time.

Yea, I am not looking forward to getting sick out here. Fortunately, I do not get sick very often. When I do, I just like to be left alone. That should not be a problem out here lol

Had a great breakfast at the Highway 20 Auto / Truck Plaza....Now I am ready to get this load delivered!

    MtDewMan Thanks this.

I know exactly where you are at. in Dubuque. This is the truck stop next door. Been there a lot. Food is OK and showers are 3 bucks. If I remember right they run on 19.

It is some beautiful countryside! We deliverd 1 mile down the road and then we were off to Camanche to pick up a load of steel pipe. Had a great ride along the Mississippi river. We saw alot of small streams that were out of their bank.
We stopped in Cameron Missouri for the night at some Sinclair truck stop.
We will get up at 5 and then leave by seven.
We are on our way to Ok.
Hopefully the next couple of days will go quick!

We dropped our load in Oaklahoma and then dead headed to Ft Smith Ark to the Maverick facility across from Mac Steel. We picked up a load of grey bar and then we are on our way back to little rock. I get to eval out tomorrow! We will probably leave around 5 am.
Also have some safety meeting to go to, meet the new fleet manager and all that fun stuff. I ordered an inverter and had it shipped there so I can have it installed in the truck. I am going to then get the microwave, refrig ect. It is so much cheaper if you buy and eat in the truck instead of eating out all the time.
I will let you know how it goes tomorrow and my new truck number!:biggrin_255:
