Blower switch connections get hot and melt pins when the blower draws to much current. Should be update switch with a repair pigtail.

My Freightliners Bunk does this. Switches don’t last long. Pigtails melt. Front switch never goes bad. It’s a different design. Double switch, maybe for a/c control? Replaced switch and pigtail, lasted a year. Doctored up the pigtail, with tape, new switch went bad again after a year. Every Freightliner I see at junkyard has same problem. Surprised they don’t catch fire. Maybe I should replace the blower motor? I’ve had them seize up, run slow, etc. on other Trucks without getting hot and melting the pigtails. Seem like a cheap switch, I do keep it on high, 90% if the time.

Might be a Paccar thing. My W900L’s started melting plugs off the back of the switches. The B’s have never done it but the L’s all have. Check the relay that slaves the ac to defrost and see if it’s hot. After I changed those they quit melting the plugs off the switches. Took a while to find the hot one, it was in the opposite corner of the panel from the rest of the heater/ac stuff.
