Gliders are given alot of exemptions based on year of glider kit installed in the chasis.
The carrier has no problem with leasing on a/the truck without abs as long as it is compliant with glider kit rules of that year.
Help! Carrier doesnt want to lease on my fitzgerald! glider

First problem is Fitzgerald glider.
Second problem truck was built and titled after 1997. -
Go get your own authority.
Well worth it to keep 20% more income. -
Own authority will not Trump the fmcsa rules.

1) i would get customers first before getting authority.........although i'm "hearing" you can just run off load boards and apparently make good money (?)
2) To stayinback, If you think abs is bad, try adaptive braking, which some of our newer trucks have. And yes, it applied on me once because it apparently thought i wasn't applying the brake quickly/strongly enough while coming up on traffic. Didn't like it.
3) Can we ask which company is this?Last edited: Dec 28, 2017
