Help!! Mack E7 running rough with zero power

I'd start with a cylinder cutout till you lose smoke. That'll isolate the cylinder. Then diagnose from there.

 

On that Mack you can crack the fuel lines one at a time to see if one doesn’t change it. Or cold start it and grab each manifold port one at a time and see if one stays cold. It’s still a motor no need to jump off the deep end and buy a wanna be diagnostic tool.


For the record I’ve never used the Ancel scanner. There are lots of things you can do without one to get by.


I’ll also say those Mack’s had cam shaft issues the roller on those plungers would wipe cam lobes out. I hope that isn’t your issue

 

Black smoke and no power usually means it's getting plenty of fuel but no air. You didn't say anything about a miss so I'm wondering why you're going the injector route or cam . Have you checked the air breather filter.
