Any help greatly appreciated ! I cant figure out how to get the top of the steering wheel off so I can replace the signal switch,... 2001 T800 Its the style with a padded part in the middle and horn 'button' is a narrow strip across the bottom. there are some screws underneath but ive got them off (i think all) and its still tight. Its like this one .>> KW steering.jpg

I had to look at that picture twice, lol.

I never fooled with that particular truck but I would say it's like most and has 2 screws, 1 on each of them four and eight 'o'clock spokes on the back side. If it has an airbag make sure you pull the airbag fuse out first to disable the system.

Maybe Pablo will come online and post a picture diagram for you.

Hey thanks... So after taking all these little scews out of the back and getting the plastic piece off, I find there is a hole in the back into which you can put a torx driver and it unscrews the padded thing... so you dont need to take off the plastic thingy. But you then have to remove the steering swheel to get at the nuts that hold the signal switch on...
I will try to get pics. Maybe someone else wont have to find out the hard way
