Knight got sued after leaving a deceased driver in his truck for two days just blocks from the terminal.

I had a company fire me and put on Hire Right (DAC) Pattern of confrontation with management. I was shifting gears with another company within a week.
Something missing if fired years ago and still can’t find a job. I'm guessing CSA risk or something safety related.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

While I was hauling bulk we had a driver die in his truck while sleeping, he had pulled over at the Overton NV off ramp, went to bed, had a heart attack and died on Saturday Night, by Sunday afternnon dispatch was notifing us to look out for Dave in the new truck, Not a very nice find in the summertime.

Alway called that truck Deaddave's truck, it was brand new never hauled a load at that point, he had picked it up at the frieghtliners dealer in Salt Lake City. It was offered to me being one of the senor drivers, but just did not think I could unsee or unsmell what I had seen and smelled.

    I have a theory.

Dispatcher has personal vendetta against driver for whatever reason. Dispatcher knows driver is inexperienced and will do whatever he’s told. Driver thus falls right into trap and being inexperienced doesn’t know what to do next. If a call for help was made it was stonewalled by aforementioned member of management. Finally someone else notices a truck not moving for 3 days and looks into it. Due to well played management shenanigans driver gets blamed and subsequently fired. Human Resources not knowing the real story then proceeds to trash driver’s record, leading to our current discussion.

That is one hell of a vendetta to get a driver fired in that manner lol

I would look into getting that removed. Not even sure if that's legal to have that on there. Because last I heard companies were only allowed to report dates you worked there and if you're eligible for rehire or not. Not immature bull that is also very subjective.

From just reading the OP, we've come to the conclusion that this person was probably a problem driver from the jump. Accountablity is Kryptonite to some people.
