Help! I want to get back to Tx. & get a water hauling / vac. gig!!! My buddy got one paying BIG bucks (so they say $17 hr. & 160 hr wkly w/ OT.), near San Antonio, but I've not gotten a call back?!?! I have 10 mos. "recent" otr exper... 2008 had 18 mos. exper. and I worked with Schlumberber (SLB) 2013 for 6 mos. as "Cement Truck Oper".
It seems that all the "water hauling or Vac driving" jobs require years of experience... Yet soooo many are screaming they need good drivers! I got on with SLB easy since Im drug free & good bkgrd! Any advice for how to land a good $100k driving job would be much appreciated!!!
Help! WHERES THE $100K DRIVING JOBs IN OIL? WATER / VAC ? WHERE IN TX. TO GO???

I'm hearing that those jobs are out there everywhere too. But you have to own your own setup to get them. If you show up on the site and you have the tools to do the job, I guess your in the club.

well granted during the winter the weather sucks but I know a lot of guys making huge money with the oil fracking up in north dakota and montana but it is hard to find living accomidations because it is a oil boom up there heck even walmart has to pay $20/hr just to get workers because of the shortage of employees the water truck drivers and others are pulling down a fortune the thing is moving there and personally north dakota is pretty boring But as far as in texas wouldnt know I live in minnesota just thought I would throw the idea out there

Keep driving w/ a violation free record & keep contacting employers. You'll get your shot. The years of driving is 2 fold. Experience & contacts. It's who you know. Had a teamster opening here last week @ $33/hr. Big daddy ask if i knew a driver, made a call to a guy in my network. That's how it works in this outfit.
