Check your hubby's company policy on appealing the preventable / non-preventable decision.

I work for a BIG company that has a formal procedure for appealing accident rulings. I sat on an accident review board that makes the final decisions when a driver appeals the decision.

Company policy on preventable / non-preventable can vary just as a company's definition of an accident can. (My company.. any time your vehicle makes contact with something other than a loading dock = accident. Even if no damage).

If the accident shows up on his DAC go through the DAC correction procedures to get corrected information put in.

    Good Luck.

The camera idea is GREAT! Even though your company doesn't provide such a system I have found such systems on line in stores for sale under $150.00. They record continuously onto a hard drive, and will run on a 12 volt system. At prices like that even a driver could afford to buy such a system for his or her own use. The size of the whole system is small and portable it would fit inside your briefcase. I would let ya know where you could get this system but we cant advertise here. I would however be glad to steer you in the right direction just PM me!. I think I shall buy one for myself it sounds like it could be a life saver for sure!
