I am needing to deliver this first thing in the morning, but dispatcher is unsure and there is no phone number on the bills. That is the only address I got on this thing "Ridgeley warehouse, Maryland Junction Y, Ridgeley, wv" and I am going to have to do a bit of searching for this Warehouse since I cannot find anything definite on google maps. I am hauling kingsford charcoal skids and nearby in town is the Kingsford building that just might be it so I guess I will start there.

Was just hoping one of you guys deliver here regularly and will know exactly where to go.[IMG]

Pretty obvious that’s where you need to go. Dispatcher is an idiot.

Tell your dispatcher to do their job and get you either a.) A phone number for the receiver or b.) A good address that doesn't put you into the middle of a farmers field.

Looks like plenty of room to turn the truck around, so I would try out that big building first.

Ha that was the right place after all. Man I had my doubts though, had to go through six miles of the town to get to it, and it is a tiny town too, a lot of S type driving and those streets looked like they had never seen a truck before. The biggest heart dropper was the underpass that you had to perfectly straighten up your tractor and trailer to pass under right out of a blind right turn. Never would have proceeded but as tiny as it looked it actually had 13'6 posted on it so it must be meant for a truck to be at that exact height. Six inches of space on either side of my two mirrors while crawling through that thing. Then when I get to the final turn into the warehouse pictured on that map the road turns to gravel and a dark forest tunnel of trees, but once again there are big signs pointing through it saying "Kingsford/Clorox deliveries". So I knew it really was the place.

If you ever have to go to their plant in Parsons, 80 miles west of Ridgely, be sure to get good advice from someone. There’s only 1 real way to go and I didn’t take it. I literally dragged the ICC bumper, barely making switchbacks with tandems slid forward all the way. Looked good on the map.

That is where I picked the load up from. I had to come from the north so I had to go through all those hills with fog and watching as my outside tandems were hanging over the drop off, then had to go back there to pick up another load from there again, this one luckily is going to north carolina and this time at least is clear on where i am going.

Did you see the sign that said "Be aware of trucks using both lanes", while going around a blind curve and you're using both lanes.

I did that load once and it went on my do not go back, ever list.

Well, you have gotten another one of those Wild, Weird, Impossible from directions, Delivery's made. Add it to the ones similar you have done; sigh in relief, and truck on. If that was your first situation put in, welcome to the club. You have one to tell now at "Counter Consultations."

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
