    I reached out to Henderson a couple of times but no response. Any idea if they are still running the CDL Academy? It sounded like a great first gig.

    I will. I am not sold on any one company. I just want to make sure I find a company that trains their people the right way and treats them fairly. I can withstand the year of lower miles because I'm new.

    You shouldn't get fewer miles just because you're new. The company isn't making money if the trucks aren't moving. Also keep everything in perspective; many new drivers complain about their first company forgetting it is just their first company and they're still learning. Probably go thru 3 or 4 companies before they find one they're comfortable with. There's nothing wrong with that; that's just the way it is. Just pick one and try to stick with it for 12 months to learn all you can, then move on. Look at that first 12 months and if you're still in school and preparing to graduate and move to your new job with another company.

    Anyone with any new updates on Henderson Trucking for new drivers in the academy? I saw a few threads that went cold. Looks like the guys possibly quit. Any updates would be great.
