In a grocery store everything on the outside walls will normally be less processed like meats and produce. All the processed garbage is on the aisles. Of course there's exceptions like hot dogs, sandwich meats and other highly processed meats with the fresh but generally speaking the healthier stuff is along the outer perimeter walls.

The easiest way that I found to immediately start eating healthy is as follows: On Christmas eve, after dinner I was reading my grand daughter a book, when she asked " do you have a baby in your belly?" I immediately started my diet! Lol

Looks like all the things that taste good, like this Entenmanns donuts I'm enjoying right now. I don't know, seems we have a lot better understanding today then when we were kids. Imagine the toxins in a freakin' 1962 ball park hot dog, or a Twinkie., who, BTW, filed bankruptcy, blaming low fat diets. Smucker picked them up, but they don't taste the same. I see recalls DAILY, from cheese to chicken soup, and of course, the biggie, ground beef, nothing is sacred. Problem as I see it, there are too many people to feed, and food producers are trying shortcuts or buying substandard ingredients, to stay afloat. I was horrified to see, my local Safeway had a box of Matzoh crackers for almost $7 BUCKS! Why? Because they probably still use domestic suppliers,. I have a difficult time finding things to eat, partially because of my poor trucking eating habits all my working life, but I think it's also what's in these foods today. Look at the ingredients panel, it reads like a novel. What to do? Well, at 70, I don't care much anymore, if that donut didn't kill me yet, I doubt it will, maybe one builds up a tolerance to those chemicals and making us live longer:dontknow:,,

In the grocery stores I go to , bakery outside wall, deli outside wall, meat the ok and the deadly ,outside, dairy outside , and fresh produce. There is not a whole lot of healthy choices in a supermarket. You have fresh veggies, fruit and I eat meat but don't feel it is healthy. Fish is on the outside its good. But the market is not there to make/keep us healthy, they are there to make money.
Have a safe night out there, I will do the same.

Didn’t Mike Rowe on dirty jobs talk to a guy making pork rinds and he said fat is money.
