So I had my ism turned up from 425hp to 500hp and I noticed my egts climb pretty quick running 850 pulling empty. Loaded they maybe max out at 1200 on the hills. The probe is in the down pipe. I just feel like something is a little odd but maybe it's normal?

More fuel = higher egt. Bigger windmill will solve that
TripleSix and stillwurkin Thank this. -
Was this a factory setting turn up or a custom tune?

Yea don't hold it at 1200 for very long. 1100-1125 to be on the safe side

Since the probe is post turbo anything over 1000* is in the piston melting range for an engine with aluminum pistons. Turbo will normally take 3-500 degrees out of the exh temp depending on how efficient the turbo is. Guessing the easy fix is a slightly larger exh housing on the turbo to help with getting the hot air out of the engine. Not sure if I would push much more then 35-40psi of boost.
