High winds on I-40 from New Mexico to Oklahoma today

    Just a heads up. If you're lightly loaded you might want to think about shutting down. Up to 55 MPH wind gusts in Tucumcari and Amarillo through western Oklahoma. Fire watch also in the TX panhandle and western OK so you might not want to drink beers in the truck stop in case they wake you up in the middle of the night telling you that you have to leave. LOL

    I just heard on the CB that I-40 is currently closed near the TX-OK border between Texola and Erick, OK due to a wildfire that has crossed the interstate.

    Woodward OK reports a freeze warning in effect this evening into the night.

    I think that's pretty awesome considering fire and ice.

    SD Rapid City east is closed by the Governor.

    We are fixing to get rough along I-30 from say Tyler all the way to the Rock tonight shortly. I 40 already has a young cell bearing down on east little rock (Galloway I -40 petro) in a few minutes.)

    I just passed Tucumcari.. snowing. I-40 west was closed today due to big rig fire. just after loves exit.
