    Leased on to them and delivered a load and never got paid for it, kept getting the run around on payment and weeks go by no payment, month goes by no payment and now they stop responding, month 2 now and they have disappeared with my money. Now I have no choice but to take legal action.

    My real question here is what are my options here?
    How can I get my money? Civil lawsuit? Or is this lesson learned and how can I avoid this in future?

    Seriously, you should learn how to research a carrier (Tonka Trucker Co) before doing business with them.

    Really just a stupid move on your part. Write it off as an education expense. Or file in small claims court if you want.
