I see that Stevens doesnt let company drivers take the truck home and require you to park the vehicle in a secured lot. Can anyone tell me of the approved secured lots in the NJ/NYC area?
And can you leave your personal vehicle in these secured lots so when you drop the truck for hometime you have a your vehicle there?
Thanks, curious how all that works especially for those of us who dont live in the Dallas Metro Area.
Hometime parking question?

I was told by drivers in this forum that thermo-king or kenworth dealership will allow you to park there. Don't know about leaving personal vehicle. Hope this helps sir. -
Kenworth, Peterbilt or Thermoking dealerships. You can also park in a gated area but you have to get pics of the place and Stevens has to approve it.
As far as parking personal vehicle there while you are out on the road, I doubt they wold let you are thee for that length of time but it doesnt hurt to ask. -
They have a secured lot, maybe Sayreville, but not sure. Bill Craig could tell you.

what if i live in the country in upstate NY?? we dont have any gated parking up here?? so does that mean that I cant bring truck home for hometime?? trailer would be across road from my house at a truck repair shop and the tractor would be in my driveway...thanx for the help as this is sure to be a major ? in will I apply to stevens or not??

Lease driver can park pretty much where ever you want.
Trailer will have to be parked in a secured lot or dealership just as a company truck. Doesnt matter if you are lease or company. -
If the lot across from your house is secure (gated, fenced), take pictures, sumit information and Stevens may approve it.
Basically, they're looking for a secure location to store their property. -
just found out tonight that not every kw dealer is ok like in stl you have to go to the one on 44 @ 270 nowhere near my place lol waiting on ride here now
-
I keep mine there. Place can be a pain to get to and there closed on weekends for better or worse.

Any idea for the Chicago area (specifically near O'hare airport) of secure places to park?
