Is there a way to hook up ramps to the side of the stepdeck? I have to unload small 400lb cart but there's another load blocking it from the back

    CAXPT Thanks this.

Haven’t seen your setup…just letting you know that a rollback is always an option.

Sounds like a good job for a forklift. I thought that’s what usually unloaded flatbeds and step decks.

Go to next stop & come back since you didn’t bother to pay attention when being loaded, that’s what I would get told.

IDK. I have called a rollback before. But that's probably too expensive. I saw the guy on Youtube Dooner Livingstone (Jimmy) unhook setup his ramps and drive a 3/4 ton truck off the front of the trailer. Too much daredevil for me. Rollback might winch it off for $100. Good Luck.

$300 cash/ $400 credit card by me to come out and ground to trailer a forklift

Cheaper than dumping a machine off the side

gotta have pin cylinders to mount ramps to the trailer imo regardless of where on it. might could get real tight to a step dock from the side: maybe a dirt berm either. Prolly gonna be situational to the point of delivery.

i’d be hesitant to just set the end of the ramp between the rub rail and the deck between the stake pockets personally; although depending on the terrain and particular machine it prolly could be done/

Some time in the early 2010’s I had a car lift to deliver to a house. I couldn’t move it, let alone try and liftgate this 2000 lb thing off the truck. He wound calling a rollback after I gave him the name of a nearby body shop who had one. The shop charged him $75.

Have u called anybody? Sometimes i have hauled cars on a flatbed with no dock on the recieving end. We would call a rollback to come out...if its only 400 pounds find a couple dudes to help u lift it off

lol I did that with my golf cart to get to gear jammer due to a load on bottom deck. It worked, my wife wasn’t thrilled watching, it worked though. I’d have put it behind the excavator and loaded and reloaded it, due to having a large bucket and not a hydraulic detachment option I had the arm out over the deck.
