They don't take the risk with the steer tires. They run regional here so worst case for them is a truck broke down a couple hundred miles out. They'll get the parts together and come fix it where it sits. If it's something minor, we fix it and limp it in. I blew a radiator hose on mine and had to replace it in the dark, then wait for another driver to bring me coolant. It was cold and dark, but they paid me for doing it so it's all good. I've been thinking one of those tow units that attaches to the fifth wheel on a bobtail would be a good investment for them but we haven't talked about it yet.[/QUOTE]
