Thinking about moving to a company that runs 4 axle kw daycabs and puts you in hotels everynight. I will always have my escorts and getting to reasonable accommodations shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I'm curious if staying in a hotel everynight ($70 per night is what they like to pay) is a hassle? 6 weeks on the road and they fly you home for a week.

Also, I'm worried about all of my stuff and a cooler in a daycab. It's a widebody kw so I would have some room, but not much.

Anybody have thoughts on this set up?

70 a night will get you a motel 6 room. Not much else.

You're not going to have much of any room trying to carry luggage and a cooler unless you pack really light and plan to do laundry at least once a week. A bag for clean clothes, one for dirty, and a cooler is pretty much going to consume the passenger seat.

    What company?

Never drove heavy haul, but the company I last drove for had a corporate account with Motel 6. Their Corp rate was straight $50/night no mater the location and they booked it, I just had to call when I had around 2 hours drive time and pick where I wanted to stay based on my pre-plan (almost always had more than one option). The plus is that nearly every one along the major routes, at least out here in CA has enough room for truck parking. Draw back, no laundry service, something to think about being out that long. A good guide backpack, around 65L-75L would be good for your clothes. Lay it on the floor on the passenger side and the cooler on the seat or on top of the pack. Personally my choice for lodging on the road is Best Western. As a rewards member I get at least 10% off, on occasion I've gotten 20-25% off. Free hot breakfast, and for a fee, laundry service at most locations.

Will they let you bolt a cheap pickup bed toolbox across the back behind the cab to throw your duffel bag and whatever all you have in, that's how I would solve that issue. Motel6 isn't a bad place to stay, it's a lot better than the ground anyway and it's not like a sleeper is the Ritz, just my opinion.

I’d rather sleep in a ditch than stay at a Motel 6. Stayed in a handful and they were all beyond nasty.

Myself, and all of my drivers Motel/Hotel it on trips.
Plenty of room in the day cabs I find, and a good shower every night and morning, a real bed, getting out of the truck, priceless. Some of you must pack a lot of stuff with you.
Every item of clothing in my closet would fit in a day cab, and room to spare for my lunch cooler.

It’s usually not a big hassle day to day. I’ll take most hotels over a bunk and a truck stop. You’ll figure out where you can go after a bit. Most hotels run on the same system or whatever like choice/Wyndham/ best western... 70 a night is getting to be pretty hard to find anywhere, especially in summer.
Places are usually decent but sometimes you go with what’s available lol , and a lot of places won’t accept Clc.
I pack 1-2 weeks worth of clothes in one big bag and usually can find laundry before running out . Along with a duffle and a backpack for whatever else. Most guys carry some type of cooler. All of It will take up the passenger side but why does it matter
