how long can you drive as far as distance and hours go? Are the rules any different than they are for trucks with sleeper?

Fuel stops and toll tickets or other things with a formal date and time stamp (Which is why you do not time stamp a #### thing where possible....) will be supported by a notation in your logs at that moment in time. Meaning if you hit a toll gate on the PA Pike, you entered that into the paper logs back then.

This is from FMCSA, not truck stop talk, I have recorded 720 legal miles. This is before the 30 minute rule went into effect, also done in TX at night where speed limits are higher. Never had a problem.
