We're a small family owned trucking company - in Central PA for 42 years. We run Class B - straight trucks / short hauls less than 100 miles. I have a route open from Wednesday night 11:00 pm till about Thurs 4:30am. 2 stops. The hours requirements are confusing since we only do short hauls.

The guy that wants it is currently working at another job from 5:00 am - 3:00 pm Wednesday - but not driving. Some sort of maintenance position. It's rare to find someone that only needs one night. Can I hire him for this route? He has off from his other job Thurs thru Saturday.

    Thank you

Well, your problem is that your guy isn't off for 10 hours. If ya'll could work something out, it wouldn't be a problem.

No Go. Sleep does a body good. He needs that 10 hour break before driving even though he is doing maintenance work.

Thank you both for your assistance. The "10 hours off" is what I needed to verify. I think I can adjust the schedule. It's not often you get a perfectly clean driver's record, 40 years driving experience and okay with 1 night only. Too good to pass up for our little business. Thank you!

    ibcalm19 and Opus Thank this.
