Pushups, situps, running... Anyone do that during their trips?
I don't want to be a fast food / truck stop blob. How do you eat to keep it somewhat healthy?
Also, the better shape I'm in the less I get sick and more productive I'll be.
And this is about the most "you eat what you kill job" there is...
Thx!
How do people keep fit while on the road all the time?

Some of the T/A and Petros.have workout rooms. There are fold up stationary bikes you can fit into your truck. Also check out Powerblocks adjustable dumbbells if you're into resistance exercises. They're expensive but work pretty good and take up little space. Find them on Amazon.Be careful if you decide to walk in the parking lots, some drivers not as observant as they should be.

Eat healthy and be a flatbedder. That works for me. You don't see fat flatbedders.

Normally what I used to do. Either on 30 Minute breaks or after work. Calisthenics and cardio. You can put some dumbbells under the bed if you want.

Eat right
Eat less
Eat more often
Move that body -
You figure it out and I'll pay you for it. Saw a guy fall out waiting to check in at a shipper. Fat sob with apnea? Straight up drooling after 5 minutes at a gate. Guard had to walk out and kick him loose.

I have a truckers wives swinger app. Typically between all you listed, finger printing some loads, and shagging the wives in the PNW, it's not an issue.

If you plan to run OTR and will be resetting on the road I’d check into a quality folding bike (such as Dahon, Bike Friday, etc) and carry it with you.

When I was younger and pulled a skateboard I would put binder bar in spools under rub rail and use it as a chin up bar. Also used to carry a couple of dumbbells in truck.
Getting out and walking helps, but usually at the end of the day when you've been running hard all you want to do is crash in bunk.
I would say most effective way to keep weight off is watch what you eat, pack healthy food if you can and stay away from the feed troughLong FLD and Truckermania Thank this. -
