How do you motivate people when training?

I had a dream once too. Then I got married. Now I get to celebrate 17 years as a trucker on June 2.

 

Well it does suck but it beats going out and getting a real job

 

Most don’t stick with it maybe half after 5 yrs. I’ve heard I thought about being a Trucker. Truth is they also thought of being a lot of things.This Job is Unique and has to be enjoyed or at least be better than the alternative. Kinda like getting old it beats the alternative Lol

Put that climbing wife in training.

 

For a limited number of us, its freedom. Having a rush hour on the cross bronx for example and not really caring that's it is a rush. There is nothing to defeat except time and vast distance.

 

It has nothing to do with drugs. He's someone who got into trucking for the paycheque and didn't realize how much work it was going to be. Unless he gets his butt in gear, he's a lost cause and will be moving onto the next big thing in a couple months.

No point in getting involved, or trying to get him to improve. It's a waste of time and energy.

 

Best motivation is hunger!
