How far back do trucking companies check criminal background?

Most trucking companies with ask something like, "Have you had a felony within the last 5 yrs. or 10 years, etc."

 

Where is your location; state & nearest city/town?
Do you have any endorsements?
Yes, list the felony and make sure the date is listed. Your felony is 11 years old, so several companies will hire you if you can pass a drug test; urine or hair follicle.

 

Don't mention the word "trafficking" and let the trucking company figure that out.
Submit the application before calling; this is important. The trucking company websites have a short app. to submit. Submit that before any phone calls.

 

Plenty of companies hire felons and ex-cons. One driver did 20 years for murder, then graduated from cdl school and went right to work.
