I love Arizona, Nevada, and Utah, should I buy a 2010 engine just so I can get freight out of California? I care about emissions, but that's an extra $20,000 for me, and am more than ok with avoiding California if I can get van freight without them.

All the people I run with to California are all pre-emmission trucks.

If you want to obey the carb ruling, that is all voluntary.

Unless you haul in or out of the ports, I have heard they enforce those regulations on all trucks but that is hearsay since I quit running the ports years ago.

Unless carb sets up at a weigh station or somewhere....you won't get caught.... California troopers and weight stations dont enforce carb regulations......

Run in at night....run out at night

No that's carb as well.....but thats easy to spot out

  10. This is good advice. Stay out of truckstops, stay on the big road if possible, and run at night.

I was at the J on Lenwood Thursday, and they were there. I just got out of the shower and they slowly drove right past me and were looking for a victim. I needed fuel before I left and recorded them. They were all over the guy in the maroon T660. Sorry for the portrait I took it real quick to send to my brother. They had a Dodge truck, Caravan, and a LEO Explorer. All 3 idled their vehicles while scolding drivers. The hypocrisy is mind numbing. You can't make this sh_t up, only in 'merca.
