looking into some long haul reefer companies and trying to find some that offer the right home time. The Megas like swift seem to want you home no more than 4-5 days max no matter how long you stay out. If I stay out 6-8 weeks I want to be home for 7 solid days without turning in the truck. What’s been your experiences how long do you stay home for and do you have a home time cap?
How many days off?

You'll be lucky to find a "mega" that will let you stay home much over 34 hours. Companies don't make money if the wheels aren't turning.
But @Chinatown might know some that will accommodate that sort of home time. Might want to let him know what part of the country you live in though. -

Sure, run the good months such as March 1 through Oct 31 then fly home on the pile of money you made all year.

Its been 5 years since I was there, but for 4 1/2 years that I was at Steven's, they never said anything to me as long as I kept it under 14 days. I generally ran 6 weeks took a week off, sometimes I'd run over 8 weeks, if I did, I'd take 13 days off.

I usually run three weeks out, 4 day weekend.
Longest I took off was three weeks, went sailing in the Caribbean. Like to take a nice vacation in the winter.
