Depends on the company and current fuel prices ... right now it could be anywhere from $.35 to $.50.

Fuel will cost you anywhere from .50 to .75 a mile.

Figure the .92 is what you'll make, after fuel costs. (If you're lucky)

    And then,

Figure your vehicle payment and maintenance costs on a per mile basis...

Now calculate your other business costs. (Taxes, meals, health insurance, ROI (return on investment), etc...

What's left, is your earnings. (Probably not much left, if anything. This is why people end up inverted doing these lease deals)

Depending on the structure of your lease. Mine for exaple i pay for everything permits tags u name it. It teaches you. To manage the lease like a o/o would. But truth be known it saves my company alot of money when the driver picks up everything.

But anyways my fix costs is 693.78 maint is .07 mi x miles ran for the week.
So if i run 2500 mi a week . My lease cost me 868.00 total fix cost including MAINT. fund.

If you hire a tax accountant add another 75.00 every qtr.
Fuel cost avg. Out for me .53 .58 mi in the summer in winter its .58 .63. And i avg 8.2 in the summer 6.8 winter mpg.

Ok now i currently make 1.03mi .44 fsc total of 1.47 mi. Loaded 1.37 empty.
So my lease based on 2500 mi cost me .34mi . (868. Total fix cost : 2500mi).
So now we know my lease cost is .34 + .58 mi fuel = .92 mi total operating cost. Now if i get good Mpg(light loads alot of empty mi). It helps obviously.

    He we go again 1.47- .92= .55mi.
Now uncle sam gets his to. I pay 2500.00 every qtr to IRS that = 800 month. Based on 10,000 mi a month equals .08mi

.08 - .55. = .47mi take home. But dont forget you owe state tax to mine is about 186 /3months so subtract another .02 = .45 actual take home. Basically company pay. But all leases fig that way . Your gonna make company pay every week. If you can live on company pay every week there no reason you cant live on a lease. Just manage your money. I hope this helps
