    Nice.
    Its just preventative maintenance,!
I have a pto /frac sand blower .and that mainly the reason why I grease it every week too much dirt ,and the county/lease roads are not the best.
    Good info thanks

I do mine every two weeks.
My WesternStar was a lot of grease fittings, so it always took more than a tube to do it all. I found I was getting stingy with the grease trying to make a tube go the whole job. So I got myself an air powered grease pump/gun that sits on a whole pail of grease. Now I use it liberally as I don't have to worry about running out and having to change the cartridge. A pail lasted about 14 months.

If you grease your truck every couple weeks and your grease is rated for EP. Any brand should be good. I use Mystik JT-6

    Around 6,000 miles, trailer (8 zerks) 10,000.
    Schaffer red sticky stuff.
Dewalt cordless gun, takes a cartridge.

Just need to buy a wee jack to lift the king pins , as I've been told is good practice.

Good that you do this yourself, familiarize yourself with the equipment and find your own issues before they find you.

When I looked after my old man's trucks everything got greased every weekend. Mid week the u-joints and log bunks got greased again. Clutch cross shafts and release bearing got hit every 2nd or 3rd weekend. Grease is cheap compared to a $1500+ bill when your inter axle shaft lets go and takes out airbags and ABS modulator valves.

Maybe everyone knows it but I didn't 30 years ago. When you grease the front axle you need to jack the truck off the ground if you really want to do it right.

My old mans runs the same 359 Pete since about 93 or so. As far as he knows its still got the original kingpins and 1 original u joint. Think about how many times that u joint turned in 2.5+ million miles. Grease is your friend.
Wore out 3 seats, been overhauled 3 times, front drive axle once, rear axle twice, but the trannies never been opened up.
