I've been hanging around The Truckers Forum for a few years and read tons of posts...both good and bad about the starter companies. I haven't decided on which company to start with, but would like some input from you guys who have already gotten started. Is it realistic to think I could make $30,000-$35,000 my first year...if I needed to get home about every 2-3 weeks?
How realistic is it?

With a 160 hr. CDL school and all the endorsements you should make over $50K maybe $55K your first year & could go up into the $60K's after that.
Endorsements/TWIC/passport = money
You're in Arizona; what's the nearest city? -
I think that is pretty realistic. If you just run the numbers at .25cpm for the entire year, average 500 miles per day for 21 days and sit out for the entire 4th week of every month, you get just over $30k per year, but check my math.

I'm in Gilbert...just east of Phoenix.

Also apply with:
Groendyke
Airgas
Reddaway
Arizona Milk Transport
Ignore any "experience required" on websites & apply anyway. -
If you get on with a good regional or dedicated run It's totally do able. Trucking jobs are quite diverse, theres a lot of gigs for a lot if fits.
