Does anyone know if Aldi foods have strict appointments like wallmart?
I am hauling a meat. So, I am thinking, if I am allowed to be late a little.

    Thank you in advance!

I've always arrived the night before and slept on the dock so I can't really tell you. They do have a lumper service. All their receiving is done in the morning. If you aren't too late I would think they would work you in. Show up after 9 am and I doubt it. Aldi is usually a decent place to deliver. I never had a problem out of them.

If you are hauling Tyson your company gets fined by them if you are late. Our company turned around and fined us. Late loading you? Make them reschedule if you can't do it.

Unless you are broke down, meat haulers are never late! :)

If you are sleepy, get you a nap in. I know how it goes. Sometimes just resting your eyes 20 minutes is enough to refresh you to get there and still make it work. If you have 2 hours slack time then sleep 2 hours. Taking a 10 is the last resort unless you're out of hours.

You have 1 hr from your appointment time, then then mark you late. And you will be either a work in, or you will have to reschudled.

If a truck driver working for Tyson Foods was late delivering to another Tyson Foods plant, would the truck driver get fined for being late?

The idea is not to be late. If delayed at the shipper, note that, contact consignee and your company. If weather, let the consignee know and your company. If traffic, let the consignee know and your company... in other words - communications.

I was delayed to a WalMart due to weather, contacted them and kept them informed. Once I got the all clear to roll, I called them and they squeezed me in an appointment.

I called the broker. I called the receiver. Nobody answered. So, I just arrived there 1 hour late. And they unloaded me. But I have heard from some drivers, that Aldi is really strict with appointments. So, maybe I was lucky, and they needed the product.
Thanks to everyone for your answers.

He'd probably get a chewing. The fine applies to the contract loads.

I've seen stragglers come in before and they always got a door. I'm gone before the late late ones arrive. Aldi is closed at night, all except the guard shack. It's good you got in. Meat loads aren't cheap and the grocery store needs every second to sell it. It's strange that was a broker load? It must of been some off the wall small company stuff.
