I work for an engineering company that has developed a new security product for the trucking industry. We know it's pretty good, a couple of big players are testing it and like it for possible fleet deployment.
But, we're not truckers, and we don't know this industry ourselves. We'd like to find somebody to work with us who has experience with trucking executives etc., but we just don't know where to start to find this person or how to get the ball rolling on meeting people. At least we know what we don't know!
What do you suggest we do? Thanks for your help.
How to get connected to others in the trucking industry?

What security product did you develop?
-
-
It's not on the market yet. It's an Internet-enabled alarm for cargo containers.
-
Without details, it's hard to offer advice...
Electronic program, equipment security, or driver security? -
For containers you're only real option is reaching out to companies, I don't know anyone who owns their own containers(aside from buying old units as storage sheds).
-
Alerm is activated. Driver drives off or what?

Thanks for your comments so far. I haven't mentioned much about the product itself, because that's not where our questions are. We are more interested in figuring out how to get connected to people in the industry who know the owners and can help us reach out to them. It's a question of how do we meet people in the industry who are connected?
