I just bought this to replace my dead Rand and can’t figure out how to program it to show truck stops and rest areas on the map. It is nice to see when places of interest are approaching. The Rand was great at that and I figured all GPS units have that feature. Please help!
How to get my Garmin 780 LMT-S to show truck stops, etc

I use the "upahead" feature to show truck stops, rest areas, and Walmart.

I think mine is a 760, commercial version, I take it with me, but really use my phone more than the Garmin. Mostly the garmin sits in the bottom of my drivers bag. Never figured out how get it to talk to my phone without paying extra on the phone bill. The only time I use the Garmin is for going into a new city, its good for keeping you on truck routes. I still keep Google maps working for traffic info. Just got thru a nasty back up on Interstate 5 North bound, Bid Truck burnt down coming up on Osborne in the Sun Valley area, just past where the hollywood freeway merges in. Wrong place wrong time, Had to get on the freeway at Sheldon,, did not realize it was backed up. Wish I would have had the phone maps on.

I have to have the hotspot in my phone turned on to get traffic, cheaper to use google or waze.
