How to Increase the Jake Brake Power?

So I drove an automatic 2015 Freightliner Cascadia DD15 (mine is a 2014 and manual), and I noticed the jake brake was much stronger. Is it possible to make mine stronger? I’m guessing the dealer will have to plug in the computer?

The only way I can think of is to run the overhead,

I don’t know of a setting in the software for the Jake Brake Power.

Jakes today are a lot stronger than they were 2 decades ago. Noise doesn't equal powerful. VGT turbo will always have a stronger jake than a big old school turbo. The ISX and DD15 have very strong jakes

Here is the diagnostic bulletin from Detroit. I'm in the middle of having my jakes repaired and it's getting expensive. Turns out I have 4 out of 6 actuator pins seized. Those jake rockers are $250 each.

    I don't know about power.

If I want power, I just redline the jakes and keep a eye on that oil temp, pressure and Mr Pyrometer. If it's a newer engine I'll add 10% beyond redline for a few moments if I have to.

Our engines have been stuck in the 500 to 600 range. Never more than that. We can absolutely run 1000-1500 horse, 2400 torque etc. With the idea that the more you have on hand the less fuel you are going to burn to do the work, say lifting 80000 pounds all the way up and over Wolf Creek Pass in Co. However the companies insist on buying anemic engines and really good engines have gone into history. A memory. Some of those great old engines should have burned up proper with me and my very heavy loads. But they held up with two exceptions in my lifetime. What engines... awesome.

Today's engines do not generate that much motivation. They are all the same. Buried in Emissions (Or drowned rather) and have no balls to do anything but whine and then overheat or throw codes.

I better stop talking. It's one of my hot buttons to have engines that are not engines worthy of the name.
