The only thing they are concerned with is the almighty dollar and control. That's it. Anyone that thinks agencies like that are concerned with a person's health or the environment doesn't understand the 'control freaks' at all.

And look where this selfish and greedy behavior has gotten us in this great country.
Look at Ca. you would think with our low sulfur diesel,EGR systems and all the other modern environmental friendly inventions we now use we should at least be able to idle trucks so drivers may at least sleep comfortably.

I'm all for looking out for our environment but I also believe you can go overboard with it.
Running a weedeater with Ca. emission???
Yet they burn the country down every year polluting half of the US.......screwballs.
Not much love for Ca. on my behalf.

Relax sweety,,, I was being facetious. Basically stating that pets have more rights than humans. While I love my 4-leggers like they are my kids there has to be a point when humans take precedents. The problem is that these lawmakers do not have to live by the laws they make. When they have to live in a metal box in below freezing with no heat or triple digit temps with no AC for just one week they would have a different song to sing.

PS Give Cali back to Mexico and let them deal with those nut jobs.

Then you have my apologies for screaming. So many drivers ignore what I am telling them, or do not have time to back up the Ladies that are working so hard...

there are portable air conditioners that are less than $150 on the batterysavers web site that you fill with ice cubes and it pushes ice cold air at you. its run on D batteries or a car charger. I was looking for something for my dad for fathers day, he is a truck driver as well and although he may not be able to stop for ice, I thought I'd pass this info along to you if you can stop for ice. Seems like a good thing. Good luck

    1) The funny thing is that most of these BS idle laws have been around for 20-30 yrs, but only now are they emphasized because it's trendy---the green BS; This is one thing I DON'T like about lesbians. (more on this later)

    2) But back to the orig question: What i tried to do when i was running otr is to try to run during the day and sleep during the night. i've found that in most places you don't need to idle at night. Does not apply in florida or texas though.

    3) What i'm planning on doing when i go back to OTR is to get a honda 1000 generator and use plug in heaters/ac units. Chain the generator to the catwalk or roof. They are very quiet and will run up to 8 hrs on one tank. It should work well.

I have tried one of these in garage before. They only work for like an hour and then the ice is used up. :(

LOL how the hell do you even bring lesbians into it? Gosh, nobody does it quite like you. Reminds me of that glory hole thread you started.

That works in the summer. In the winter I'll try to run at night and sleep in the day. The sun would heat my truck up and keep me nice and warm, even though it was freeezing outside. Doesn't work in wisconsin or minnesota.

That would make me a solar powered trucker wouldn't it?
    Roof would rattle badly.
