Me either. I hate swimming anyway. Had to swim in Navy bootcamp and aircrew training, but otherwise always avoid swimming.
Same here with Philippines, never got in the ocean there while the other guys were having a good old time boozing and swimming. I had better things to do such as boozing and bar hopping.

I slept in berthing compartment under the #3 arresting cable. Worst and noisiest place to sleep on the ship. Like an explosion inside the berthing compartment every time a plane snagged the cable and slammed down onto the flight deck.
If one crashed into the round-down (rear of the flight deck) would know if it was an A7 or F8 just by the sound of the crash.
