I've got an loud, annoying hum from my CB when my inverter is running which is anytime the truck is running unless I turn it off. Is there some sort of filter I can install to get this to stop?

You can install a inline noise filter for 25$, but you need to actually run the wires direct to the battery and frame to get the best results.
LandslideRich Thanks this. -
Normally a cb shop will charge you 50-75$ installed, or you can buy your own for 10-20$ and install it yourself.
Just google CB Noise Filter, you'll see a variety of them.
I bought one due to the alternator whine on a W900 I drove years ago, didn't completely make it go away but reduced it by 80-90%.LandslideRich Thanks this. -

Dont get offended but its likely just a trk stop inverter..They are noisey, they produce a dirty signal (sine wave)..If you install a noise filter its also decreaseing incomming signal....
Sell it and hear to an rv shop for something of quality..Do a lil studying 1st..
OORRRRRRR
Turn one off with other running..
I have same issue with my hid highbeams, gps charger.. -

Well then your gonna have to turn one off....Just cause its one from volvo doesnt make it any better than a trk stop/auto store inverter..

SO I will.
Let's start with this question - did this start out of the blue or you just get into this truck?
Then the next question is describe what you mean by hum?
Like is it like a 60 hz sound (low hum) or noise like static?
Then the next question is this - did you disconnect the coax to see if the sound goes away?
AND another question is this - do you have anything hooked up to the inverter when you turn it on and the noise appears or is everything disconnected and it still happens?slim6596 Thanks this.
